I have been a sports fanatic since the age of four. Sportscenter is always must see TV for me even if I have seen it three or four times before. My family has indoctrinated me with a love of athletic competition, and combined with my propensity to pick up seemingly useless information has made me an astute observer. Fantasy sports are a must, including leagues in all four of the major north american sports. My first love is the Pittsburgh Pirates, a floundering franchise saved from the brink of oblivion twice in my nineteen years of life and on pace for another disappointing season. That enduring connection has made me develop a keen admiration for underdogs and losers as well as an abhorrence for the malefactors of great sports wealth. I am far from a conventional fan, I make strange predictions, I enjoy reading lengthy articles about advanced stats or sabermetrics of all sports, and generally I don’t mind being the only one in the room rooting for a team.
